Steve Matush
Steve Matush has been an active volunteer at the SRJC for the past fourteen years. He serves on a Restorative Justice Panel, which is a catalyst for offenders to repair the "harm" they've caused to others in the community. Steve also serves as a member of the Community Advisory Board, which oversees the programs of the justice center.  From 1979 to fourteen years ago, Steve taught second throught fifth-grade students at Elm Hill, Union, and Park Street schools. His last eight years at Park Street were focused on working with children with behavioral challenges. His teaching revolved around having students understand how their behavior affected others and developing strategies to help them be more successful.  Steve is an avid cross-country skier and loves doing anything outside. Downhill skiing, bicycling, kayaking, hiking, and splitting wood are all activities he enjoys.

Elizabeth Cohen
Liz Coen has been an educator at Springfield High School for 12 years.  She has been leading the shift to restorative practices at her school since she attended her first Restorative justice training in 2016. She is hoping to strengthen the partnership between the Restorative Justice Center and the schools in Springfield. Liz also loves to read, garden and spend time with her children, husband, and dog.

Marty Hammond
Marty Hammond facilitated the community meetings and wrote the initial grant that funded the Springfield Justice Center. She has worked in the human service field for many years and retired as the Executive Director of Southern Vermont Area Health Education Center (SVTAHEC) in 2018. Since retirement, she returned to SVTAHEC as part-time as the Oral Health Projects Coordinator. Since retirement she has been trained in Restorative Practices and serves on a Panel. She is an active member of the Springfield Santa Claus Club and now coordinates the services provided to Springfield’s frail and elder population. She and Carl (her very old cat) live a quiet life except when her grandchildren visit and Carl goes into hiding.
